Recipe Description

Crispy Chicken Sticks are the ultimate snack or appetizer! Tender chicken strips are coated in a perfectly seasoned breadcrumb mixture, then fried or baked to golden perfection. They’re crunchy, flavorful, and absolutely irresistible for both kids and adults.

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Oil for frying (or cooking spray for baking)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Coating

  • In a shallow bowl, mix the flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  • In a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese (if using).

Step 2: Coat the Chicken

  • Dip each chicken strip into the flour mixture, ensuring it’s well coated.
  • Next, dip it into the beaten eggs.
  • Finally, coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Step 3: Cook the Chicken Sticks

  • For Frying: Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken sticks in batches for 4-5 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  • For Baking: Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the coated chicken sticks on a greased baking sheet, spray with cooking spray, and bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve the Crispy Chicken Sticks hot with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup, ranch, or honey mustard.
