  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Step 1: Prepare the Steaks

  • Pat the strip steaks dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and thyme or rosemary.

Step 2: Heat the Pan

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat.
  • When the oil is hot, add the steaks to the pan.

Step 3: Sear the Steaks

  • Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until a golden-brown crust forms.
  • Add the butter and minced garlic to the pan during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
