  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (for brownie layer)
  • 1 cup chocolate chip cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and add the vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until well combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough on top of the brownie batter. Gently spread the cookie dough to cover most of the brownie batter.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let the Brookies cool in the pan for 10 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
