Strawberries are originally from Europe. The strawberries we eat are actually a hybrid of two wild berry species from North America and Chile. Strawberries are bright red in color. They are juicy and sweet! Strawberries are a seasonal treat packed with nutrients. 

They are an excellent source of vitamin C, manganese,contain amounts of vitamin B9 and potassium.Strawberries are very rich in antioxidants and plant compounds, which may have benefits for heart health and blood sugar control

Usually consumed raw and fresh, these berries can also be used in a variety of jams, jellies, and are a key ingredient in many desserts. Strawberries are rich in fiber, minerals and water (they are actually 91% water, hence they are low in carbs and have very minimal fats) Eating these berries will keep your weight in check and give you healthy and clear skin.  

Here is a tip to brighten your teeth: cut a strawberry into half and rub it on your teeth for 5 minutes. Doing this regularly will reduce stains.
