The unique texture of Sesame and the tender chicken brings this dish to life. Sesame Chicken is a dish packed with flavour in every bite and will certainly leave you wanting for more!

SESAME CHICKEN

Ingredients

1 tbsp white sesame seeds
400 gms boneless chicken breasts, cut into pieces
1 tbsp oil
4 tbsps sweet red chilli sauce
2 tsps refined flour
½ egg
1 inch ginger
1 tsp soy sauce
2 tsps cornstarch slurry
2 tsps honey
¼ tsp vinegar
1 tsp crushed red chillies
Salt to taste

Method

1. Dry roast sesame seeds till the seeds start popping. Remove from heat and cool.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
3. Take chicken pieces in a bowl. Add 2 tbsps chilli sauce, refined flour and egg and mix well.
4. Put chicken pieces in the pan, one by one, so that they don’t stick to each other and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Grate ginger in the pan, add 2 tbsps water and toss to mix.
6. Add remaining chilli sauce and soy sauce, mix well and cook till done.
7. Add cornstarch slurry and mix well. Add honey and toss to mix.
8. Add vinegar and mix well. Add crushed red chillies and salt and mix well.
9. Place cooked chicken on a serving platter, sprinkle roasted sesame seeds on top and serve hot.
