Ingredients
Chicken – 750g (bite-sized pieces)
Dry Red Chillies – 4 or 5
National Chilli powder (optional)
National Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Egg – 1
Corn flour – 3 tsp
Ginger – 2 to 3 pieces
Garlic – 1 or 2 pieces
Peppercorns (coarsely ground) – 1 tsp
National Salt – as required
Oil – as required
Roast the dry red chillies on a low flame.
Grind the roasted red chillies, ginger and garlic.
Add little water to make a paste.
Whisk together egg, corn flour, prepared red chilli paste, peppercorns, turmeric powder and salt.
Blend this mixture with the chicken pieces.
Mix well. Marinate for 20-30 mins.
Heat oil and drop the chicken pieces.
Deep-fry the pieces till they crisp up.
