Quick Sweet and Sour Chicken

Ingredients

400 gms. Chicken

50 gms. Onions

50 gms. Tomatoes

50 gms. Capsicum

50 gms. Carrots

200 gms. Sugar

80 ml. Vinegar

150 ml. Tomato sauce

1 Egg

50 gms. cornflour

A pinch of ajinomotto

1 Lemon

National Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for deep frying

 

 

Cut boneless chicken into small pieces.

Add cornflour, beaten egg, pepper, salt and ajinomotto. Mix well.

Heat oil, deep fry chicken and keep aside.

Cut onions, tomato, capsicums, cucumber and carrots into small pieces and keep aside.

Make a gravy with tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar and a little water.

Add lemon juice and boil gravy for a few minutes.

Blend a little cornflour in cold water and add to gravy. Cook till thick.

Add chicken pieces and all the vegetables to the hot sauce and serve
