Fresh fenugreek leaves mixed with corn kernels in gram flour batter to make these crispy deep fried pakoras. A perfect snack for a monsoon evening !

METHI CORN PAKORA

Ingredients

¾ cup fresh fenugreek leaves (methi)
3 tablespoons corn kernels
1½ cups gram flour (besan)
1 medium onion, sliced
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Oil for deep-frying

Method

1. Mix together gram flour, corn kernels, onion, fenugreek leaves, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt with water as required to a batter of dropping consistency.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Drop in portions of batter and deep-fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
3. Serve hot with sweet chutney and green chutney.
