Ingredients
Undercut or under meat of steak cut up into small piece 1 lb
Potatoes 2 medium
National Seekh Kabab Masala
Tomato 1 large
Ginger 2 inch piece
Ghee or butter 3 tbsp
Unripe fig or slice of green papaya 1
a sprig each of coriander and mint leaves
National Red chilli powder 2 tsp
Medium onions 2
Eggs 3
National Salt 1 tbsp or to taste
Cooking Directions
Clean and grind the ginger, fig (or papaya) and salt to a smooth paste.
Mix it well into the meat and leave to marinate for 2 hours.
Chop onions and fry to a crisp golden brown, then grind.
Peel the potatoes, cut into quarters and fry.
Chop coriander and mint. Cut the tomato into tiny pieces.
Now mix all these ingredients plus 1 tbsp ghee or butter and chili powder with the meat.
Spread the meat in a deep heat resistant dish.
Beat the eggs and pour on the top of the meat, then cover with a tight lid.
Bake in a hot oven for about 1/2 hour.
