Career:

After completing his culinary studies, Chef Saif AlShafei began his career as a commis chef at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Bahrain. Over the next few years, he worked his way up the ranks, eventually becoming the sous chef of the hotel’s signature restaurant, Plums.

In 2011, Chef Saif AlShafei was invited to participate in the inaugural edition of the Bahrain Food Festival, where he showcased his culinary skills and won the hearts of many food enthusiasts. This was a turning point in his career, as it gave him the exposure he needed to launch his own culinary ventures.

In 2012, Chef Saif AlShafei founded his first restaurant, the popular Saar Mall Café, which quickly became a local favorite. The restaurant was known for its innovative take on traditional Bahraini dishes, which incorporated modern cooking techniques and international flavors.

Following the success of Saar Mall Café, Chef Saif AlShafei opened several other restaurants and cafes, including the upscale Al Areen Palace & Spa Restaurant, the trendy Block 338 Café, and the casual Q Lounge.
