Munira Rahman was born on December 18, 1981, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She grew up in a middle-class family where food was an integral part of their daily routine. Her father was a businessman, and her mother was a homemaker who loved cooking. Munira developed a passion for cooking at an early age and would often help her mother in the kitchen. She loved experimenting with different ingredients and creating new dishes.

Munira attended a local school in Dhaka and completed her high school education there. She then went on to study at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2003.

Career:

After completing her studies, Munira Rahman started her career in the corporate sector. She worked for several multinational companies in Bangladesh and gained valuable experience in marketing and management. However, her passion for cooking never died, and she continued to experiment with new recipes in her spare time.

In 2008, Munira decided to pursue her culinary dreams and enrolled in a professional cooking course at the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Paris, France. The course gave her a deep understanding of French cuisine and culinary techniques, which she later used to create her own unique dishes.

After completing her course, Munira returned to Bangladesh and started her own catering business. She catered for weddings, parties, and corporate events, and her delicious dishes quickly became popular among her clients. Munira’s catering business grew rapidly, and she soon became one of the most sought-after caterers in Dhaka.

In 2010, Munira started her food blog, “Cooking Diary by Munira.” The blog was a huge success and quickly gained a following among food enthusiasts in Bangladesh. Munira shared her recipes, cooking tips, and food experiences on the blog, which helped her build a loyal fan base.

In 2014, Munira published her first cookbook, “Bangla Ranna: An Introduction to Bengali Cuisine.” The book was a compilation of traditional Bangladeshi recipes that Munira had learned from her mother and grandmother. The book became an instant hit and won several awards, including the Gourmand World Cookbook Award for Best Bangladeshi Cuisine Book in 2015.

Munira continued to write for her blog and publish cookbooks. She also appeared on several television shows, where she shared her culinary skills with a wider audience. Munira’s popularity continued to grow, and she became a household name in Bangladesh.

In 2018, Munira launched her own cooking show, “Cooking with Munira,” which aired on a local television channel. The show was a huge success, and Munira became one of the most popular celebrity chefs in Bangladesh.
