Crunchy Banana Chips just like the ones they make in South India.
BANANA CHIPS
Ingredients
3 medium raw Kerala bananas
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste
½ tsp turmeric powder
Method
1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
2. Trim the edges and peel raw bananas.
3. Take salt and turmeric powder in a large bowl. Add ½ cup water and mix.
4. Use a mandolin slicer to slice bananas into thin chips and drop them into the kadai.
5. Add a spoonful of the salted turmeric water into the kadai. Fry the chips for 2 -3 minutes or till they are crisp.
6. Drain on absorbent paper and allow to cool.
7. Serve.
