Ingredients:

Chana Dal 250 gms (Soaked for 3 Hours)
Onion 1 (Chopped)
Tomato 1 (Chopped)
National Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tsp
National Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
National Salt 1 tsp
National Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
National Garam Masala Powder 1/2 tsp
Oil 1/4 Cup

Tarka Ingredients:

National Cumin 1 tsp
Oil 4 tbsp
Green Chilli 2 (Chopped)
National Pickle/Achar 1 tbsp

Direction:

Step 1: Take a pot and add Soaked Chana Dal and add water 3 cups and then add National Salt (1/2 tsp) and add National Turmeric Powder and cover with lid and cook it for 30 minutes (5 minutes on medium flame and 25 minutes on medium to low flame)

Step 2: Now Take a pot and add Oil (1/4 Cup) and add Onion and slightly fry it and then add National Ginger Garlic Paste and stir it well and then add Tomato and stir it and add National Turmeric Powder, National Salt, National Red Chilli Powder and stir it well and then add 1/2 cup water and stir it and cover with lid and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.

Step 3: After that add boiled Chana Dal from step 1 and stir it and then add 1 cup water and stir it and cover with lid and cook for 10 to 15 minutes on medium flame.

Step 4: After that remove the cover and stir it well on high flame and turn off the flame.

Step 5: Now take a pan and add Oil (4 tbsp) and preheat it and then add National Cumin and fry it and then turn off the flame and add National Pickle/Achar,Green Chilli and stir it and put on the chana dal and stir it and add National Garam Masala Powder and stir it. Your Achari Chana Dal is Ready.
