Fish Ras:
Ingredients:

Fish ½ kg
Chopped onions 3
Curry leaves 10
Chopped green chilies 4-6
Chopped garlic 3 cloves
Rice flour 2-3 tbsp
Ground cumin 1 tsp
Chopped coriander ½ bunch
Salt to taste
Oil 3 tbsp

Method:
Heat oil, add curry leaves and allow spluttering. Add onions, saute till translucent. Add the green chilies, chopped garlic, ground cumin and sauté. Cook for a couple of minutes and add the rice flour. Sauté well for another two minutes. Add water and bring to a boil. Add salt to taste. Carefully place the fish in the boiling gravy for 6 to 7 minutes. When fish is cooked, add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with plain rice.

Doodhpaak:
Ingredients:
Milk 1 liter
Raisins 3 tbsp
Powdered green cardamom 1 tsp
Chopped pistachios 2 tbsp
Hot water 1 tbsp
Almonds ¼ cup
Saffron 1 tsp
Sugar 250 gm
Water 1 cup
Rice 4 tbsp
Method:
Peel and grind the soaked almonds to make a smooth paste. Dissolve saffron in hot water.
Boil milk. Add almond paste and the soaked rice. Let the milk simmer on low flame stirring continuously. Then, add saffron water, sugar, cardamom powder, chopped pistachios, and raisins. Cook until slightly thick in consistency. Set aside to cool. Once cooled, put the bowl in refrigerator to chill few hours.
