TAWA JEERA ALOO

Ingredients

1 tablespoon cumin seeds
4 medium potatoes, boiled and peeled
2 teaspoons oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 small tomato, chopped
1 tablespoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1 tablespoon cumin powder
½ tablespoon turmeric powder
½ cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon chaat masala

Method

1. Heat oil on a nonstick tawa, add cumin seeds and sauté till they change colour.
2. Add onion and sauté till lightly browned. Add tomato and cook for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
3. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and ½ cup water. Add chaat masala and mix well. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
4. Mash potatoes on the masala, add chopped coriander, salt and chaat masala, mix well. Serve hot.
