Pakistan Made Proud in 2017.

1. Winning ICC Against India:

The International Cricket Council (ICC) celebrated this year one of the .best cricketing moments of 2017, featuring arch-rivals Pakistan and India in the year’s biggest contest

The event was the finale of ICC Champions Trophy, which was won by Pakistan, but it was the ending moments of the post presentation between both the sides that truly captured the spirit of cricket.

2. Mujhe Ku Nikala Moment

The dialogue of the year “Mujhe Ku Nikala” became part of a lot of memes on internet. But from where did this line came from? this dialogue came from the mouth of our Ex- prime minister Nawaz Sharif. It happened when a unanimous verdict by the Supreme Court of Pakistan disqualifies Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from office, over the controversy of him and some of his family members names being in the Panama Papers, thus leading to his resignation.

3. Census:

I think the best part of 2017 was the Census. Finally we have been hearing since a long time that our population is 18 crore. I mean no increase over 17 years? That was so unfair with all those who got born in all these 17 years. But finally we got blessed with the census this year.

4. NED students get ‘Breakthrough Award’ at Formula Student:                                                                                                                                                                            A group of young engineering students from NED University of Engineering and Technology has won “Breakthrough Award” at Formula Student UK’s 30th competition at Silverstone. Young Pakistani engineering students not only managed to secure extensive appreciation from renowned judges of motor sports but also received appreciation momento of a BMW F1 aerodynamic part from F1 specialist William Toet.

5. Asia’s Biggest Mall:

Asia’s biggest mall was inaugurated in Karachi this year. The LuckyOne Mall. Which has the capacity to park more than 3500 cars in its parking lot. It has state of the art technology and covers a wide area.

6. Football legend Ronaldinho to visit Pakistan:                                                                                                                                                         Leisure Leagues is a UK-based organisation which holds five-a-side, six-a-side and seven-a-side leagues in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland & USA. Ronaldinho participated in the leisure exhibition match held in Pakistan. It was an attempt to promote football in the country.

These were some of the major events that happened this year in Pakistan and they made us feel like a proud Pakistani.
