A quick and easy way to make delicious Burfi using Milk Powder.

MILK POWDER BURFI

Ingredients

Ghee to grease
1 tbsp ghee
1 cup milk
2½ cups milk powder
1½ cup powdered sugar
A pinch of green cardamom powder
Few saffron strands, soaked in milk
Almond and pistachio slivers

Method

1. Grease a burfi tray with some ghee.
2. Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan and add milk. Let it boil, stirring continuously.
3. Add milk powder and powdered sugar. Mix well. Cook on medium heat till the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of pan, stirring continuously.
4. Add green cardamom powder and mix well.
5. Transfer half the mixture in burfi tray. Add soaked saffron milk in the remaining mixture. Spread it over the first mixture.
6. Garnish with almond and pistachio slivers. Refrigerate till set.
7. Cut into medium sized squares and serve immediately.
