Marinated lamb chops cooked and served in creamy sauce.
LAMB POPSICLES IN CREAM SAUCE
Ingredients
8 lamb chops with handles
1½ tbsps Dijon mustard paste
1½ tbsps white wine
5 tbsps oil
1 tbsp chopped garlic
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp paprika powder
¼ tsp red chilli powder
4 tsps lemon juice
2 cups fresh cream
¼ tsp dried fenugreek leaves powder
Salt to taste
Method
1. Put Dijon mustard paste in a bowl, add white wine and mix well. Marinate the lamb chops in it for a couple of hours in the refrigerator.
2. Heat 2 tbsps oil in a deep pan, add garlic and saute till brown. Add turmeric powder and saute.
3. Add paprika powder, red chilli powder and lemon juice and mix well.
4. Add fresh cream and mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add dried fenugreek leaves and mix. Add salt and mix and cook for 1 minute.
6. Heat 3 tbsps oil in another pan, place the lamb chops upright and pour the remaining marinade over them. Cook, turning them, till the chops are cooked and lightly coloured on all sides.
7. Spread cream sauce in a serving bowl, place the chops over it and serve hot.
