GUR PAPDI
Ingredients
½ cup chopped jaggery (gur)
¼ cup ghee (clarified butter)
1½ cups coarse whole wheat flour
A pinch of nutmeg powder
¼ tsp green cardamom powder
8-10 almonds cut into slivers
8-10 pistachios cut into slivers
Method
1. Heat ghee in a nonstick pan. Add whole wheat flour and sauté for 8-10 minutes or till it is golden brown in colour.
2. Add nutmeg powder, green cardamom powder and jaggery and mix well.
3. Evenly spread the mixture in a greased aluminum tray. Garnish with slivered almonds, pistachios and keep aside to cool.
4. Cut into squares and serve.
