GREEN TOMATO SUBZI
Ingredients
5 medium green tomatoes, roughly chopped
3 tbsps oil
½ tsp ginger paste
½ tsp garlic paste
Salt to taste
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala powder
½ tsp cumin seeds
2 dried red chillies
Method
1. Heat oil in a non-stick kadai.
2. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder in a bowl. Add sufficient water and mix well.
3. Add cumin seeds in kadai and sauté till it turn brown. Add dried red chillies and sauté for few seconds. Add the prepared mixture and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add green tomatoes, combine well. Add sufficient water and mix well. Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes till tomatoes turn pulpy.
5. Transfer prepared subzi in a serving bowl.
6. Serve hot.
