A favorite amongst all, cubes of fish coated with a unique blend and fried until golden brown served alongside Tartar sauce.
FISH NUGGETS
Ingredients
500 grams fish fillets, cut into 2 inch pieces
Crushed black peppercorn to taste
Salt to taste
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
½ lemon
2 eggs
Refined flour for coating
Dried breadcrumbs for coating
Oil for deep frying
Tartar sauce to serve
Chopped fresh parsley leaves for garnish
Method
1. Take the fish pieces in a large bowl, add crushed black peppercorns, salt, ginger-garlic paste and squeeze lemon into it and mix well. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, break in 2 eggs in another bowl. Add salt, crushed black peppercorns and whisk well using a fork. Set aside.
3. Spread refined flour on a plate and set aside. Spread dried breadcrumbs on another plate and set aside.
4. Coat each fish piece with flour, dip in the egg mixture and roll on the breadcrumbs. Set aside.
5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, deep fry the fish pieces till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
6. Transfer on a serving plate, garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with tartar sauce.
