Boiled chickpeas mixed with gram flour, rice flour and powdered spices, deep fried to a quick crispy snack.
CHANA KURKURA
Ingredients
2 cups chickpeas (chana), soaked and boiled
1 cup gram flour (besan)
½ cup rice flour
1 tablespoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Chaat masala for sprinkling
Method
1. Mix together chickpeas, gram flour, rice flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, baking soda, coriander leaves and salt with ½ cup water.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry chickpeas till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
3. Sprinkle chaat masala on top and serve hot.
