However, her love for cooking was too strong, and she left her teaching job to pursue a career in the culinary arts. She started by conducting cooking classes in her home and later opened her own cooking school called “Tarla Dalal’s Cooking School” in Mumbai.

Cookbooks and Television Career:

In 1974, Tarla Dalal published her first cookbook, “The Pleasures of Vegetarian Cooking,” which became an instant success. She went on to publish over 100 cookbooks, including “Healthy Recipes,” “Punjabi Khana,” “Mithai,” and “International Recipes.” Her cookbooks were known for their easy-to-follow recipes and clear instructions, making cooking accessible to people of all skill levels.

In addition to her cookbooks, Tarla Dalal also had a successful career on television. She hosted several cooking shows, including “Cook It Up With Tarla Dalal” and “Tarla Dalal’s Kitchen.” Her television shows were popular for their simple recipes and engaging style, making her a household name across India.

Entrepreneurship:
