Teriyaki Beef:

Ingredients:

Beef mince 600gm
Oil 1 tablespoon
Onion chopped 1
Garlic crushed 2 cloves
Flour 1tbsp
Teriyaki sauce ¼ cup
Mango habanero sauce 1tbsp
Rice vinegar 2 teaspoons
Sesame oil 1 teaspoon
Brown sugar 1 tablespoon
Snow peas, trimmed, sliced 150gm
Spring onions, sliced 3
Sesame Seeds to serve
Steamed jasmine rice to serve
Method :
Heat oil. Add brown onion and garlic. Cook, then add mince. Cook until browned then add flour. Add teriyaki sauce, vinegar, sesame oil and sugar. Cook until sauce thickens. Add snow peas and green onion. Cook for 2 minutes or until snow peas are tender. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with rice.

Dutch apple cake:

Ingredients

Apples peeled and sliced 3
Sugar 3tbsp
Butter 2/3 cup
Eggs 4
Vanilla essence 1tsp
Flour 2 cups
salt 1/8 tsp
sugar 1 cup
cinnamon 1tbsp
Method :
Combine the apples, 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; let stand for 1 hour. Beat butter and remaining sugar until light and fluffy. Add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Combine flour and salt; gradually add and beat until smooth. Transfer to a greased 9×5-in. loaf pan. Push apple slices vertically into batter, placing them close together. Bake at 160° C for 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 hours or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. Serve warm.
