  • 200g caster sugar
  • 4 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1½ tsp bicarbonate of soda

  2. In a saucepan, add caster sugar and golden syrup. Place on medium heat without stirring until sugar dissolves, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Increase the heat and let the mixture boil for around 5 minutes until it turns golden brown.
  4. Quickly remove from heat and add the bicarbonate of soda. Whisk briskly as the mixture foams up.
  5. Pour immediately onto the prepared baking sheet and let cool completely.
  6. Break into pieces and enjoy your homemade honeycomb!
