We all have eaten pakodas, but this one comes with a seafood twist. The end product? Something as desirable as the regular ones. Try this recipe to calm your seafood cravings!
PRAWNS PAKODA
Ingredients
12-16 small prawns, shelled, deveined and cut into 1nich chopped
¾ cup gram flour (besan)
¼ cup rice flour
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 inch ginger, chopped
6-8 garlic cloves, chopped
2-3 green chillies, chopped
4-5 curry leaves, chopped
1 tbsp sambhar masala
1 tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
¼ tsp fruit salt
2 tbsps chopped coriander
Oil for deep-frying
green chutney for serving
Method
1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai
2. Combine together prawns, onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies, curry leaves, Sāmbhar powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and mix well in a bowl.
3. Add salt, fruit salt, gram flour , rice flour. And add sufficient water, coriander mix well to make a thick batter.
4. Divide the prawns mixture into equal small balls and Deep-fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
5. Serve hot with green chutney.
