Madurai Mutton Chukka Varuval

Ingredients

Mutton – 1/2 Kg

Oil – 4 Tablespoon

Onion (small) – 10

National Turmeric powder – 1/4 Teaspoon

National Salt to taste

Curry Gravy Powder (Coriander and Chilli mixed powder) – 1 Tablespoon

Mutton Masala – 2 Tablespoon

Chopped Coconut pieces – 5 Teaspoon

National Red Chilli – 2

Curry leaves – 1 Teaspoon

Coconut Oil – 3 Tablespoon.

 

Add four tablespoons of oil to a pan.

When the oil sizzles, add chopped small onions, garlic, Turmeric powder, gravy powder and salt. Saute.

Add half a kilo of mutton to the pan and mix well.

Add water to the pan so that the mutton is covered. When the water begins to boil, add Mutton Masala.

Keep the flame on for 15 minutes or until the mutton is cooked well. Wait until the oil starts to separate.

Take another pan, add coconut oil and red chillies, curry leaves and chopped coconut.

Mix these with the mutton and stir well.
