Ingredients :
Chicken 10-12 pieces
Potato 2 big
Tomatoes 3 medium sliced
Rice 1/2 kg Sella rice soaked for at least 30 mins
Yougurt
Green chili 10-12
Dry plums 10
Onion 6large sliced
Salt to taste
Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp,
Whole all spices 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1tbsp
Cumin powder 1tsp
Coriander powder 1tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
All spices powder 1tsp
Nutmeg and mace pwd 1/2 tsp
Green cardamom pwd 1/2 tsp
Yellow color 3/4 tsp +pinch
Oil 1/2 cup
Coriander 1 bunch
Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
method :
1: Pre boil rice in salted water with whole all spices and set aside.
2:Heat oil, add onions and fry till golden. Take half the onion out on absorbent paper .
3:To the remaining onions add chicken and fry till it changes color. Now add salt and ginger garlic paste .Nutmeg and mace pwd green cardamom pwd, red chili pwd, cumin powder, all spices powder, turmeric powder ,coriander powder .
4:now add tomatoes and yogurt, cook chicken till tender.
5:Apply a pinch of yellow food colour on potatoes and fry. Now add a fried potatoes, dry plums and green chillies to the chicken and mix.
6:Spread the rice over meat. Drizzle 2 tbsp of oil and 1/2 tsp yellow food color mixed in screw pine water on top .
7:Sprinkle fried onions, chopped coriander and mint over the rice. Cover tightly and cook on very low heat for 15 mins, ready to serve.. ..
