Move over your usual rice recipe and try this Korean Kimchi Rice, it’s delicious and wholesome!
KIMCHI RICE
Ingredients
3 cups boiled basmati rice
3 tsp oil
6-8 garlic cloves, chopped
2 spring onions, chopped
Crushed black pepper to taste
½ cup kimchi
Salt to taste
1 tsp spring onion greens, chopped + for garnish
1 egg
Method
1. Heat 2 tsps oil in non-stick pan, add garlic, spring onions and sauté till translucent.
2. Add rice, crushed black pepper, kimchi, salt and toss well. Add spring onion greens and take the pan off the heat.
3. Heat remaining oil in another non-stick pan, add egg and cook for 2 minutes till egg are cooked.
4. Transfer the cooked rice into a serving bowl and place the fried egg on top and garnish with spring onion greens and sprinkle crushed black pepper. Serve hot.
