- Karhi kofta
Ingredients for karti
Yogurt 1/2 kg
250 mg of Gram Flour (Besan)
Ginger garlic and green chillies paste 1tbsp
Salt to taste
Red chili powder 2 tbsp (adjust according to taste)
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Poppy seed 1tsp
Almonds 10 to 12
Peanuts 10 to 12
Sesame seeds 1 1/2 tsp.
Coconut powder 2 tbsp
Tarka
1/4 cup of Italia Olive oil
1/2 tsp. of Cumin
1 large onion (sliced)
10-15 Curry Leaves
10-12 whole dry red chilies
KOFTA:
1/2 kg chicken mince
1 medium onion chopped
1 tbsp green chilli
1 bread slice(crumbled)
1 tbs yogurt
1 egg
I tsp poppy seeds
1 tspDry roasted gram flour
1 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp salt or according to taste
Method of Kofta
Grind the onions, green chilli and poppy seeds.
Take chicken mince add the grinned paste, gram flour, yogurt, bread slice, egg, gram masala, red chilli, salt mix well and make the koftas and keep aside.
Method Of Karhi
Grind almonds peanuts poppy seeds and sesame seeds and make a thick paste of all these with water add coconut to this paste
Pour the yogurt in a blender with little water. Add gram flour and all spices and paste in it and blend.
In a pot add little oil and fry garlic ginger paste for few seconds then add blended yogurt mixture,add green chilies in it.
Add 2 jugs of water. Cook on high till it comes to a boil.
Add koftas to it Than cook on low flame for about 3 to 4 hours till it reduces to almost half.
Make tarka add to karri kofta and serve hot with white rice.
