Rich and healthy rolls made with dates and mixed dry fruits
DATE AND NUT ROLLS
Ingredients
12-16 dates, seeded
½ cup almonds
½ cup walnut kernels
½ cup pistachios
3 tablespoons raisins
3 tablespoons dried apricots
Poppy seeds (khus khus) for coating
Method
1. Grind together almonds, walnuts and pistachios. Add raisins, apricots and dates and grind to a coarse mixture.
2. Transfer the mixture onto a butter paper. Roll to shape into a cylinder, tie the ends and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
3. Remove the paper and coat the roll with poppy seeds.
4. Slice and serve.
