Chopped vegetables mixed with green chutney and grated cheese sandwiched between bread slices and toasted.
CHUTNEY CHEESE VEGETABLE SANDWICH
Ingredients
1½ tablespoons green chutney
¾ cup grated processed cheese
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 medium tomato, finely chopped
1 medium green capsicum, finely chopped
8 white bread slices
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon dried mango powder (amchur)
Salt to taste
Butter as required
Method
1. Mix together cheese, onion, tomato, capsicum, coriander leaves, chilli powder, garam masala powder, dried mango powder, salt and chutney in a bowl.
2. Apply some butter on bread slices. Top 4 slices with a portion of the prepared cheese-vegetable mixture. Cover with remaining slices and apply some more butter on top.
3. Heat some butter on a non-stick tawa. Place sandwiches on it and toast till evenly done and golden brown from both sides.
4. Cut into triangles and serve immediately.
