India’s bakes good, the “puff” has gotten a nice modern twist. Chicken garlic puffs are filled with Chicken and a pleasant garlic undertone that make your taste buds explode at every bite. The dish tastes restaurant quality even though made at home!

CHICKEN GARLIC PUFF

Ingredients

1 cup boiled and chopped chicken
1½ tablespoons chopped garlic
200 grams puff pastry dough
1 tablespoon butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon refined flour (maida) + for dusting
1 cup milk
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
1 teaspoon chopped spring onion greens
1 egg, beaten

Method

1. Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and onions, mix and sauté till fragrant.
2. Add flour and sauté for a minute. Add milk, stir and cook till the mixture thickens.
3. Add chicken, salt, crushed peppercorns and spring onion greens, mix well and cook till the mixture is dry. Remove from heat and set aside.
4. Preheat oven to 180̊ C.
5. Place the dough on the worktop, dust with some flour and roll out into a large sheet. Discard the edges and cut into squares.
6. Place a spoonful of the cooked chicken mixture in the centre of each square and brush the edges with beaten eggs. Bring one edge over the other and seal with a fork to make puffs.
7. Place them on a baking tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
8. Serve hot.
