Paneer and cheese mixture wrapped in a spinach leaf, dunked in pakoda batter and deep fried – a yummy grab to go with chai!
PALAK PANEER PAKODA
Ingredients
15-20 spinach leaves, blanched
150 grams cottage cheese (paneer)
¼ cup grated Mozzarella cheese
¼ tsp crushed dried red chillies
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
180 grams Tata Sampann Pakoda Mix
Oil for deep frying
Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
1. Grate paneer into a bowl. Add mozzarella, crushed red chillies, chopped coriander, salt, and mix well.
2. Place a portion of the prepared mixture into each spinach leaves and fold the sides and roll it. Set aside.
3. In a bowl, add Tata Sampann Pakoda Mix and add little water, whisk till it forms a smooth batter of coating consistency.
4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, dip and coat each spinach rolls into the batter and drop them into the hot oil. Deep fry till golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
5. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
