When you are too lazy to do a lot of cooking in the kitchen, this recipe will take care of your woes!
TADKEWALE CHAWAL
Ingredients
3 cups cooked basmati rice
2 tsps ghee
10-12 black peppercorns
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1 large tomato, finely chopped
1 tsp Tata Sampann Chilli Powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp cumin powder
½ cup boiled green peas
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Coriander sprig for garnish
Method
1. Heat ghee in non-stick pan, Add black pepper corns, cumin seeds and sauté till the cumin seeds start to change the colour.
2. Add onions and cook till translucent on medium heat. Add tomato and cook till pulpy.
3. Add Tata Sampann Chilli Powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and sauté for a minute.
4. Add rice, green peas, coriander leaves, salt and mix well. Sprinkle little water, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
