Ingredients
- 2 cups tamarind pulp
- 1 cup dries plum
- 1 cup water
- National 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp thinly sliced cabbage
- 2 tbsp thinly sliced carrot
- 2 tbsp Jaggery
- National 1 tbsp red chili powder
- a pinch of red food color
- 10 button red chilies
- 6 whole green chilies fried in oil
Cooking Method
- Put dried plum in a saucepan.
- Add water, tamarind pulp, jaggery, sugar, tomato ketchup, salt , red chili powder, red color.
- Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 30 minutes or until mixture syrupy.
- Then add carrot,cabbage, red chilies and fried green chilies.
- Cook for another 5 minutes or until syrup is thickened.
- Remove from the heat.
- Take it out in a serving bowl.
- Red sauce Chutney is ready now.
