Quick Bhakarwadi Chaat
Bhakarwadi, the all-time favourite Maharashtrian dry snack, can be enjoyed as it is with tea. But, it gets even more exciting when served as a Quick Bhakarwadi Chaat, where it is tossed together with crisp, juicy veggies, spice powders and sev. Indeed, the spicy taste and crunchy texture of the mini bhakarwadis are just perfect to make a chaat with! Don’t forget the lemon juice and coriander, because they give a super-duper perk-up to the chaat!
Preparation Time: 15 minutes.
Cooking Time: Nil.
Serves 2.
1½ cups readymade mini bhakarwadi
¼ cup chopped cucumber
¼ cup deseeded and chopped tomatoes
¼ cup chopped onions
½ tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
1 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp chaat masala
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
¼ cup sev
2 tsp lemon juice
Salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) to taste
1. Combine all the ingrdietns, except the bhakarwadi, in a deep bowl and mix well.
2. Add the bhakarwadi and toss well.
Serve immediately.
