Mutton pieces cooked with mushrooms in spicy onion tomato masala. A must try !
MUTTON MUSHROOM
Ingredients
500 gms boneless mutton, cut into pieces
12-15 button mushrooms, cut into halves
2 medium onions
2 tbsps oil
4 green chillies
1 tsp chopped ginger
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 large potato, peeled
½ tsp turmeric powder
2 tsps coriander powder
3 tsps red chilli powder
2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
Salt to taste
2 tsps garam masala powder
1 tsp whole wheat flour
Method
1. Halve onions and slice.
2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add sliced onions and saute.
3. Roughly chop green chillies and add alongwith ginger and garlic, mix and sauté well.
4. Add mutton, mix and cook on high heat.
5. Roughly chop potato and add alongwith turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder and mix well.
6. Add mushrooms, tomatoes and 2 cups water and mix well. Add salt and garam masala powder and mix well.
7. Take wheat flour in a bowl. Add water as required and mix well into a smooth slurry. Add this to the cooker and mix well. Cover and pressure cook till the mutton is fully done.
8. Serve hot.
