A delicious bread recipe loaded with the goodness of cheese.
CHILLI CHEESE BREAD CHEELA

Ingredients

1½ cups gram flour (besan)
8 bread slices
5-6 green chillies, chopped
1 cup grated processed cheese
Salt to taste
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp red chilli powder
½ cup freshly chopped coriander leaves
1 large onion, chopped
1½ tbsps green chutney
Oil as required
Tomato ketchup to serve

Method

1. In a bowl, add gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sufficient water and whisk well to make a semi-thick batter. Set aside.
2. In another bowl, add cheese, chopped coriander, green chillies, a pinch of salt, onion, green chutney and mix well. Set aside.
3. Heat a little oil non-stick tawa, for one portion dip two slices of bread in the prepared batter on both sides and place it on the hot tawa. Cook till golden brown and crisp on both sides.
4. Place a portion of the prepared mix on one of the prepared bread slices and cover it with the other bread slice, cook till cheese melts.
5. Cut the sandwich into half diagonally and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
