Delicious pulao made with rice and minced chicken makes for a comforting and filling dinner dish.
CHICKEN KEEMA PULAO

Ingredients

200 gms chicken mince (keema)
3 cups cooked rice
2 tsps oil
½ tsp cumin seeds
5-6 black peppercorns
4-5 cloves
5-6 green cardamoms
1 inch cinnamon stick
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped ginger
2 medium onions, peeled and sliced
2 green chllies, slit
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp garam masala powder
½ bunch coriander, chopped
1 tbsp yogurt
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander sprig for garnish

Method

1. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and sauté till it changes colour. Add black peppercorns, cloves green cardamoms and cinnamon. Sauté till fragrant.
2. Add garlic and ginger. Sauté for a minute. Add onions and sauté till they turn golden brown. Add green chillies and chicken keema. Sauté for 2-3 minutes on medium heat or till keema is completely cooked.
3. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and coriander. Mix well. Add yogurt, salt, cooked rice and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add coriander and mix well. Cook for a minute.
5. Serve hot, garnished with coriander sprig.
