Early Life and Education
Ranveer Brar was born on 8th February 1978 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. He was raised in a family of food lovers, and his passion for cooking was sparked at a very young age. Brar completed his schooling from La Martiniere College in Lucknow and went on to pursue a degree in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Lucknow. Career
After completing his degree, Brar began his culinary career as a trainee chef at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai. He worked his way up the ranks, eventually becoming the executive chef of the hotel’s specialty restaurant, Souk. During his time at the Taj, Brar was recognized for his innovative cooking style and his dedication to promoting regional Indian cuisine.
In 2001, Brar moved to New York City to work as a sous chef at the Junoon Restaurant. It was here that he discovered his passion for fusion cuisine and started experimenting with new flavors and techniques. Brar returned to India in 2004 and opened his first restaurant, Banq, in Mumbai. The restaurant was an instant success, and Brar soon became a celebrity chef in his own right.
Television Career
Brar’s television career began in 2011 when he appeared as a judge on the popular cooking reality show, MasterChef India.
