BANANA FRIES WITH CHEESE
Ingredients
3-4 medium raw bananas
Grated mozzarella cheese as required
Oil for deep-frying
A pinch of red chilli powder
Black pepper powder to taste
Salt to taste
3-4 tablespoons finely chopped mixed capsicums (red, yellow and green)
1 teaspoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180˚ C.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
3. Trim the ends, peel and cut bananas into 1½ inch thick strips.
4. Put the strips in hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
5. Put the fries in a bowl. Add chilli powder, pepper powder and salt and toss well.
6. Put fried on an oven proof serving plate. Spread mixed capsicums, coriander leaves and some cheese.
7. Put the plate into the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes.
8. Serve hot.
