Chicken pieces cooked in mild creamy rich gravy. A must try recipe !

CHICKEN CHANGEZI

Ingredient

750 grams chicken on bone, cut into medium sized pieces
½ cup yogurt
2 ½ tbsps ginger garlic paste
1 ½ tbsps lemon juice
Salt to taste
1 tbsps oil
2 cups fresh tomato puree
1 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp chaat masala
2-3 tbsps milk
1 tbsp brown onion paste
1-2 tbsps cashewnut paste
2-3 green chillies slit
1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
2-3 tbsp fresh cream + for garnish
1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander + for garnish

Method
1. Marinate the chicken with yogurt, 1 ½ tablespoon ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, salt and set aside for 30 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, adds remaining ginger garlic paste and sauté well, add tomato puree and mix well.
3. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala. Cover and cook for 3-5 minutes or until the oil is separated
4. Add milk, brown onion paste, cashew nut paste and cook for 2 minutes. Add marinated chicken, green chillies and mix well, and cook on high heat for 2 minutes.
5. Cover and cook until the chicken is done, dried fenugreek leaves, fresh cream, coriander and mix well.
6. Serve hot garnished with fresh cream and coriander.
