This fancy baking recipe of Lava Cookie Tart has loads of chocolate chips, butter and lava of chocolate hazelnut spread. Each bite is pure bliss!
LAVA COOKIE TART
Ingredients
1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
1½ cups butter, room temperature
¾ cup castor sugar
1 egg
2 tsps vanilla essence
A pinch of salt
2 cups refined flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ cup chocolate chips
Method
1. Preheat the oven at 180˚C.
2. In a bowl, add butter, sugar and cream till well combined. Break in the egg and add vanilla essence, cream again till the mixture is well combined.
3. Sieve flour, baking powder, and add it to the mixture. Add salt, and fold well.
4. Add the chocolate chips and mix well to form dough. Wrap it with a cling wrap and refrigerate it for 30 minutes.
5. Add a portion of the dough into a tart shell and press it firmly, pressing the edges and spreading the mixture evenly.
6. Add chocolate hazelnut spread in a piping bag, pipe it in the tart shell lined with the cookie dough.
7. Take a portion of the cookie dough, flatten it and shape it into a disc, place it on top of the chocolate hazelnut spread and seal the edges. Trim off the extra hanging dough from the sides.
8. Sprinkle a little chocolate chips in the center and bake for 15-18 minutes.
