Set jelly topped with freshly made creamy custard in a martini glass. Perfect sinful dessert.

JELLY CUSTARD

Ingredients

1 packet jelly mix
4 tablespoons custard powder
2 cups milk
1 cup fresh cream
¾ cup sugar
4 green grape halves
4 black grape halves
4 fresh strawberry halves
Fresh mint sprigs for garnishing

Method

1. Put jelly mix in a bowl. Add 2 cups hot water and mix well.
2. Arrange a green grape halve, a black grape halve and a strawberry halve in individual Margarita glasses and pour ladleful of jelly mixture on top. Pour remaining jelly mix in a baking dish and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes or till set.
3. Heat 1½ cups milk in a non-stick pan.
4. Mix together custard powder and remaining milk till smooth.
5. Add cream and sugar to the pan, mix well and bring to a boil. Add custard mixture, mix well and cook till the mixture slightly thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.
6. Cut the set jelly in the dish into small cubes.
7. Pour a ladleful of custard mixture over the set jelly in glasses. Top with jelly cubes, garnish with mint sprigs and serve immediately.
