In the late 1990s, Mazouz’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to open a boutique selling North African-inspired clothing and accessories in London’s trendy Portobello Road. The boutique, named “Momo,” quickly gained popularity, attracting a diverse clientele. However, Mazouz soon realized that he wanted to incorporate his love for food into his business.

In 1997, Mazouz took a bold step and transformed the basement of Momo into a Moroccan-inspired restaurant. He enlisted the expertise of renowned chef Pierre Gagnaire to curate a menu that would showcase the vibrant flavors of North Africa. The restaurant was an instant success, and Momo became a sought-after dining destination, renowned for its enchanting ambiance and delectable cuisine.

Sketch: A Culinary Playground:

Never one to rest on his laurels, Mazouz continued to push the boundaries of culinary innovation. In 2002, he opened Sketch, an avant-garde dining concept located in London’s Mayfair district. Sketch was unlike anything the city had seen before, a multisensory experience that combined art, design, and gastronomy.

The Lecture Room & Library, one of Sketch’s dining rooms, earned three Michelin stars under the creative leadership of Chef Pierre Gagnaire.
