Directions

Step 1

Rinse the rice thoroughly and soak it for 30 minutes. Drain before cooking.

Step 2

In a pot, add oil and fry sliced onions until golden brown. Remove half for garnishing.

Add garlic and ginger to the pot, sauté until fragrant. Stir in chicken, yogurt, salt, garam masala, and cumin, cooking until chicken is half done.

Step 4

Boil rice separately with salt until 70% cooked. Drain and set aside.

Step 5

Layer half of the rice over the chicken mixture. Sprinkle with fried onions, coriander, and saffron diluted in milk.

Step 6

Add remaining rice, cover the pot, and cook on low heat for 20 minutes, allowing flavors to blend.

Step 7

Gently mix before serving, ensuring the chicken is well coated with rice and spices.
