Directions

Step 1

Rinse the rice until the water runs clear. Soak in water for 30 minutes.

Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger, garlic, and garam masala. Set aside for 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pot, fry onions until golden brown. Remove half for garnishing.

Step 4

Add marinated chicken to the pot with onions. Cook until chicken is half done.

Boil the rice with cinnamon and cardamom until 70% cooked. Drain the water.

Step 6

Layer the rice over the chicken, sprinkle saffron milk, cover, and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
