Directions

Step 1

Drain the tofu and cut it into cubes. Pat dry with a paper towel.

In a pan, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add tofu cubes and fry until golden on all sides. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, add minced garlic and ginger. Sauté until fragrant.

Add dashi stock, soy sauce, and sansho pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Add udon noodles to the simmering broth and cook for 5 minutes.
