Directions

Soak the mustard seeds in water for 30 minutes. Drain and grind into a smooth paste with a little water.

Heat mustard oil in a pan until it reaches smoking point. Reduce heat and add the sliced onions. Sauté until golden brown.

Add garlic paste and turmeric powder. Cook for another 2 minutes until the raw smell disappears.

Add the mustard paste and stir well. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring continuously to prevent burning.

Add the fish pieces, green chilies, salt, and water. Cover and cook on low heat until the fish is cooked through.

Adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot with steamed rice for a complete meal.
